How to do the Metis Layer 3 Quests for airdrops: Best route

Time needed: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Here’s our guide on how to do the Metis Layer 3 Quests and we show you the BEST route to do this.

    1. Add Metis Andromeda mainnet to wallet

Add the Metis Andromeda mainnet network to your Metamask by clicking here: https://chainlist.org/chain/1088

    2. Fund wallet with $METIS tokens

You will need $METIS tokens to claim the incentivized testnet NFT and complete the mainnet tasks. You can buy $METIS tokens on exchanges such as BingX, OKX or Gate.io.

Sign up for a BingX account here!

    3. Complete Layer 3 Quests

Complete the Layer 3 Quests on https://layer3.xyz/collections/introduction-to-metis. There are a total of 7 quests which are mainnet activities. These involve bridging, swapping and lending $METIS.

You could complete all 7 Metis mainnet tasks with just $30 worth of $METIS. However, this will require you to withdraw your funds out of the protocol after completing each task and then moving it to the next one. On the other hand, if you do not mind leaving the funds on the protocols after each task, you will need around $90 of $METIS.

    4. Bridge to Metis

Bridge US$25 to the $METIS ecosystem. Use the Synapse bridge to bridge from BNB chain to Metis as this is the cheapest option for gas fees. You will also receive a bit of $METIS for gas. Make sure this is enough to cover your gas fees for claiming the incentivsed testnet NFT in step 6 below.

    5. Swap and LP on Metis

Swap 10 USDC or USDT to any token on Metis using Hermes, Hummus or Netswap. We recommend swapping to $METIS. Then, add liquidity on Unimaia, you can choose from the METIS/USDC, ETH/METIS OR ETH/USDC pools. Then, take your funds back out so you can use it for other quests.

    6. Claim incentivised testnet NFT

If you participated in the testnet airdrop, you are eligible to claim your NFT at https://decentralize.metis.io/. There are 3 tiers of NFTs: Elite, Based and Good. Which NFT you are eligible to claim will depend on your point score in Season 2.

Note you will need $METIS to pay for gas fees when claiming the NFT. Many participants will not have enough $METIS to pay the gas fees if they claim the NFT first. Therefore, we recommend participants do the swap first before claiming your NFT. Or, you can buy $METIS tokens on exchanges such as BingX, OKX or Gate.io.

Sign up for a BingX account here!

    7. Lend and prosper on Metis

Lend at least $10 worth of assets to Aave ($METIS or $WETH) or Granary Finance ($METIS, $WETH or $WBTC) on the Metis network.

    8. Beefy vaults on Metis

Deposit at least $20 m.USDC-m.USDT into Beefy vault. You will need to keep your funds there for 3 days to qualify for completing this task.

    9. Aggregate on Metis

For this task, you need to hold some $METIS in your wallet for gas. Then, go to https://app.openocean.finance/classic and swap at least 20 m.USDT or m.USDC to any other token (we suggest $METIS).

    10. Perps on Metis

Go to https://tethys.finance/trade and deposit at least 10 $METIS. Then, enable leverage and open a long or short position. Finally, close your position.

    11. The Future of Metis

This final task is a quiz and several social tasks. There are 2 questions in the quiz. Here are the answers to The Future of Metis quiz: 1. Building an interoperable blockchain for all L1’s, L2’s and IoT devices. 2. Interoperability and efficiency.

    Metis token airdrop review

When reviewing an airdrop, there are several factors to consider. First, the likelihood the project will even do an airdrop in the first place. Then, to look at how many tokens the project intends to allocate towards airdrop campaigns, as well as the difficulty in participating in their airdrop. It is also important to look at the utility of the token so that there will be an actual use and purpose in participating in the airdrop in the first place. Finally, a factor to consider when reviewing an airdrop is whether the airdropped tokens are subject to any lockup period.

Likelihood of airdrop: The Metis Season 2 airdrop is now live!

Airdropped token allocation: The Metis team has currently allocated 11.5% of the total $METIS token supply towards airdrops and has not yet airdropped 5.5%.

Airdrop difficulty: Metis uses the Sepolia testnet for all tasks, so no real funds are involved. However, the dApps are quite buggy and you may need to check back occasionally in order to complete tasks.

Token utility: The $METIS token facilitates transactions, incentivizes network participants, and powers governance mechanisms within the Metis ecosystem.

Token lockup: The $METIS token lockup is unknown.

  • Celestia ($TIA) Token Airdrop Guide: How to get season 2 airdrop?

Celestia ($TIA) Token Airdrop Guide: How to get season 2 airdrop?

Celestia is one of the hottest modular blockchain projects in 2023. Their first airdrop, known as the Genesis Drop, is currently LIVE! And their tokenomics suggests that there are more airdrops to come! In this article, we will explain what Celestia is and how to position yourself for their $TIA token airdrop.

    Celestia Airdrop Step-by-Step Guide

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get a potential Celestia token airdrop:

    1. Set up a development environment.
    2. Install Celestia Node.
    3. Install Docker.
    4. Install Celestia App.
    5. Set up and run a node on the Celestia network.

    See below for more details.

    What is Celestia?

Celestia is a modular blockchain network that simplifies the process of deploying a blockchain. They achieve this by separating the consensus and application execution layer. In essence, Celestia provides a pluggable consensus layer, which is usually the hardest part of deploying a blockchain because of the massive computational overhead it requires. As a result, users can focus on deploying execution layers and building decentralized applications (DApps) with this feature.

How is it Different from Traditional Blockchains?

Celestia scales differently compared to traditional blockchains like Ethereum. Traditional blockchains have a monolithic architecture where all nodes perform execution, consensus, and data availability. These nodes, responsible for storing the entire blockchain history, become more costly to operate as the blockchain data grows over time.

On the other hand, Celestia has a modular architecture where the consensus and data availability layers are separated from the execution layer. This decoupling allows nodes to execute specific transactions, rather than all transactions, resulting in increased scalability.

Additionally, Celestia uses novel Data Availability Sampling (DAS) technology, which enables light nodes to prove consensus without downloading the entire blockchain and retaining security, thus allowing for bigger blocks and a larger number of transactions, resulting in further scalability improvement.

Who is the Team behind Celestia?

Celestia was co-founded in 2019 by Mustafa Al-Bassam (CEO), Ismail Khoffi (CTO), and John Adler (CRO). They have a large team of blockchain veterans who worked for large Web3 projects and organizations such as Ethereum, ConsenSys, Cosmos, Harmony, and Chainspace. In October 2022, Celestia successfully raised $55 million in a combined Series A and B round led by Bain Capital Crypto and Polychain Capital, putting the company’s valuation at $1 billion.

    Does Celestia have a Token?

Yes, Celestia has its $TIA token that will be used to secure the network via proof-of-stake and pay transaction fees on the network. Additionally, the token will have a fee burn mechanism similar to EIP-1559 in Ethereum, so that burned fees will offset new token issuance as the network gains adoption. According to their documentation, 7.4% will be allocated to the public during their Genesis Drop & Incentivized Testnet, which is currently ongoing. 12.6% however will be allocated towards Future Initiatives which suggests they may do more airdrops in the future!

How to Receive Potential Celestia $TIA Token Airdrop?

The best chance to receive Celestia airdrop is to run a node on their testnet, similar to Aptos node validators. There are currently two testnets that are live: Arabica Devnet (for developers) and Mocha Testnet (for validators). According to their roadmap, we are approaching the “2023 Incentivized Testnet” phase on the road map, just before the mainnet launch. However, the incentivized testnet is not the same as the two live testnets. But it is worth a shot to try and set up a node as it could potentially include us in the snapshot. Here’s how to set up a node and get a potential Celestia token airdrop:

    1. Set up a development environment. Set up your development environment to run any Celestia software, which can be used for development, building binaries, and running nodes. Go to docs.celestia.org/nodes/environment for the complete guide.
    2. Install Celestia Node. Install the Celestia Node to be compatible with either the Mocha Testnet or Arabica Devnet. It is also another prerequisite before you can run a node. Go to docs.celestia.org/nodes/celestia-node for the complete guide.
    3. Install Docker. Docker is an open platform for developing, shipping, and running applications. You will need to run Celestia Node using Docker. Go to docs.celestia.org/nodes/docker-images for instructions.
    4. Install Celestia App. This is the last step of the prerequisites before running a node. You will need to install the Celestia App, which is a binary file that will be used to run the node. Go to docs.celestia.org/nodes/celestia-app for the steps.
    5. Set up and run a node on the Celestia network. There are several options for you to choose. If you are a beginner, we highly recommend getting started with running a Data-Availability Light Node.

      Consensus:
Validator Node: This type of node participates in consensus by producing and voting on blocks.
Consensus Full Node: A Celestia-App Full Node to sync blockchain history.
      Data Availability:
Bridge Node: This node bridges blocks between the Data-Availability network and the Consensus network.
Full Storage Node: This node stores all the data but does not connect to Consensus.
Light Node: Light clients conduct data availability sampling on the Data Availability network.

What are the eligibility criteria for Celestia $TIA airdrop?

Celestia have just announced their airdrop eligibility criteria. The criteria are in 4 major categories as follows:

    • Research and public goods: These are public GitHub contributors to key protocol infrastructure, public goods, and ETH Research.
    • Early modular ecosystem: These are public GitHub contributors to rollups and key modular infrastructure.

However, due to technical issues, the AltLayer airdrop to $TIA stakers will only be available to claim at a later time. The AltLayer and Celestia teams are currently working together on an airdrop portal for TIA stakers. So stay tuned to AltLayer’s social media channels for further updates.

    Airdrop Review

When reviewing an airdrop, there are several factors to consider. First, the likelihood the project will even do an airdrop in the first place. Then, to look at how many tokens the project intends to allocate towards airdrop campaigns, as well as the difficulty in participating in their airdrop. It is also important to look at the utility of the token so that there will be an actual use and purpose in participating in the airdrop in the first place. Finally, a factor to consider when reviewing an airdrop is whether the airdropped tokens are subject to any lockup period.

Likelihood of Airdrop: Celestia’s first airdrop, known as their Genesis Drop is currently live. And with 12.6% of their token supply being allocated towards Future Incentives, there’s a good chance there will be more airdrops to come!

Airdropped Token Allocation: 7.4% of the $TIA token supply will be allocated to the public during their ongoing Genesis Drop & Incentivized Testnet. 12.6% however will be allocated towards Future Initiatives which suggests they may do more airdrops in the future!

Airdrop Difficulty: Since it is very likely that running a node can qualify you for an airdrop, the steps involved are quite technical and difficult.

Token Utility: The token will be used to secure the network via proof-of-stake and pay transaction fees on the network.

Token Lockup: $TIA tokens which will be distributed under the public allocation will be fully unlocked at launch.

    SatoshiVM ($SAVM) token airdrop guide

SatoshiVM ($SAVM) is a technology that allows Bitcoin to work with Ethereum’s EVM ecosystem. This means that Bitcoin can now create new assets and applications. SatoshiVM uses a decentralized Bitcoin ZK Rollup Layer2 that is compatible with the EVM ecosystem and uses native BTC as gas. There is a strong chance SatoshiVM will be doing an airdrop, and it will be completely FREE to participate as the tasks are all done on the Bitcoin testnet and Ethereum Sepolia testnet. Here’s our SatoshiVM ($SAVM) token airdrop guide.

Check out our SatoshiVM ($SAVM) token airdrop video guide!

SatoshiVM ($SAVM) testnet airdrop GUIDE and UPDATES (DON’T MISS OUT!)

    What is SatoshiVM ($SAVM)?

SatoshiVM is a virtual machine that runs smart contracts on the Bitcoin network. A virtual machine is a program that acts like a computer inside another computer. A smart contract is a set of rules that can execute automatically without human intervention. The Bitcoin network is a system of computers that use a digital currency called Bitcoin.

Some of the main features of SatoshiVM are:

    • Compatibility: It can run smart contracts written in different languages, such as Solidity, Rust, or C++.
    • Security: It uses a technique called formal verification to check that the smart contracts are correct and do not have errors or bugs.
    • Scalability: It can handle a large number of transactions per second, thanks to a technology called sharding that splits the workload among different nodes.
    • Privacy: It can protect the identity and data of the users, using methods such as zero-knowledge proofs and encryption.

Will there be a SatoshiVM ($SAVM) token airdrop?

There are lots of rumours circulating Twitter that SatoshiVM will do a $SAVM token airdrop. SatoshiVM has recently launched their testnet and only the faucets and the bridges are live. The Swap feature is expected to launch soon. Therefore, we are very early, and it is worth positioning yourself now for this airdrop.

It is worth positioning yourself for the SatoshiVM because according to the leaked $SAVM tokenomics, the Fully Diluted Valuation of the $SAVM token is very low. And we have seen in other low FDV token launches that returns can be as high as 50x. So, this means that if the SatoshiVM token is launched, it will also likely result in huge returns.

How to get a potential SatoshiVM ($SAVM) token airdrop?

Here’s how to get a potential SatoshiVM ($SAVM) token airdrop:

    1. Set up SatoshiVM testnet on MetaMask

Go to https://testnet.svmscan.io/ and connect your wallet. Then, scroll down and click the “Add SatoshiVM Testnet” on the bottom left hand corner. Approve the transaction on your MetaMask wallet.

Alternatively, if you want to do this manually, go on MetaMask, click the top left hand button and “Add Network”. Then select “Add network manually” and type the following SatoshiVM Testnet information onto your MetaMask.

    2. Set up UniSat wallet

Go to https://unisat.io/ and select “Download from ChromeStore”. Follow the steps to set up your wallet. Remember to write down your seed phrase offline and keep it in a safe place so you reduce the risk of losing your funds.

On your UniSat wallet, go to “Settings” and “Address type”. Make sure that “Native Segwit (P2WPHK)” is the first selection. Then, on “Network”, make sure you are on the “TESTNET” network.

    3. Fund UniSat wallet with testnet Bitcoins ($tBTC)

Go to https://bitcoinfaucet.uo1.net/send.php and paste your UniSat wallet address for testnet Bitcoins. Accumulate some $tBTC by requesting as much as you are allowed.

You can also go to https://coinfaucet.eu/en/ to request $tBTC.

    4. Bridge testnet Bitcoins ($tBTC) to SatoshiVM testnet

This is where the core of the testnet activity will be, because SatoshiVM is made to be a bridge between Bitcoin and the Ethereum Virtual Machine. To bridge test Bitcoins to SatoshiVM Testnet using the SatoshiVM BTC bridge, go to https://bridge.satoshivm.io/. On the “Deposit” tab, type in the amount of testnet Bitcoins ($tBTC) you want to bridge and click “Deposit”.

    5. Bridge more $tBTC

Repeat steps 3 and 4 above to bridge even more $tBTC to SatoshiVM. Do this more often to position yourself for when more features are launched on the SatoshiVM testnet!

    6. Accumulate some Sepolia ETH

SatoshiVM has a tSAVM faucet feature which will go live soon. When it does, you will need Sepolia ETH to pay for gas fees. Therefore, to position yourself for when the feature does go to live, go to https://sepoliafaucet.com/, enter your wallet address and click “Send me ETH”.

You can also go to https://www.infura.io/faucet/sepolia for Sepolia ETH.

BONUS: SECRET strategies to maximise your SatoshiVM airdrop

Here are some SECRET strategies to maximise your SatoshiVM airdrop:

Deploying a smart contract (including tokens)

To increase your chances of getting the SAVAM airdrop, it’s important to deploy smart contracts on the SatoshiVM testnet. Note you will need a lot of testnet BTC to pay for gas fees (around 0.0010491 testnet BTC), so make sure you have plenty.

To deploy smart contracts on the SatoshiVM testnet, go to Thirdweb and under the “Contracts” section click “Deploy”. Then click “+Deploy contract”, then under the “Popular” section click on “Token” and then “Deploy now”. We suggest you read the “Technical Design Doc” as it will be very helpful. Follow the instructions provided, including inputting a name, a symbol for the contract and a description. We do not suggest you upload a file for the token logo as an error message will show up. Fill in your address as the primary sale recipient.

Afterwards, you will need to add the SatoshiVM network. To do this, under “Select Network” click “Add Custom Network” and copy and paste the SatoshiVM Testnet network details from the SatoshiVM docs. Remember to select “Testnet” as the Network type. Finally, click “Add Network”. Once you see SatoshiVM Testnet appear under “Network/Chain”, click “Deploy Now”.

Click on the “Contracts” tab on the top, find your contract and click on it. There will be an option for you to mint your tokens. Mint your tokens!

Interact with smart contracts on testnet

Go to https://testnet.svmscan.io/tokens and under “Tokens” find a token where it is not fully minted yet i.e. those with fewer holders than the max supply. Then, click into a token and look for those with a green check mark next to the word “Contract” i.e. “Contract“. Then click “Write contract” and find the “PublicMint” section. In that section, type in the amount you wish to mint and click “Write”. Approve the transaction in your Metamask wallet. Note you will need testnet BTC to pay for transaction fees, which could be a lot.

Also, clicking into any section under “Contract” and filling in details also counts towards the requirement of interacting with smart contracts.

Run a validator node on SatoshiVM

Running a validator node on SatoshiVM could further increase your chances of getting the airdrop. To run a validator node on SatoshiVM, go to https://wizard.openzeppelin.com/. Fill in the token name and symbol. Then under features click “Mintable” and click “Open in Remix” on the right hand corner. In the popup window, you an import additional code. This will include making a vendor smart contract or additional proxy smart contracts.

However, the team have announced there is currently no active $SAVM airdrop being claimable under any links. So be wary of any links claiming to be $SAVM airdrop claim links as those are likely scams.

SatsoshiVM does not have any active $SAVM airdrop being claimable

    SatoshiVM ($SAVM) airdrop review

When reviewing an airdrop, there are several factors to consider. First, the likelihood the project will even do an airdrop in the first place. Then, to look at how many tokens the project intends to allocate towards airdrop campaigns, as well as the difficulty in participating in their airdrop. It is also important to look at the utility of the token so that there will be an actual use and purpose in participating in the airdrop in the first place. Finally, a factor to consider when reviewing an airdrop is whether the airdropped tokens are subject to any lockup period.

Likelihood of airdrop: There is a lot of rumours surrounding a potential SatoshiVM airdrop. Considering how good airdrops are for a project’s exposure, we also think SatoshiVM is likely to do a token airdrop.

Airdropped token allocation: The SatoshiVM airdrop allocation is unknown.

Airdrop difficulty: The SatoshiVM airdrop only has the bridging function on testnet. So, tasks only involve accumulating testnet tokens for later use when more features are available, and to bridge tokens. Remember it is only testnet so you will not be using real funds! It can’t get any easier than this!

Token utility: The $SAVM token utility is unknown.

Token lockup: There is no information on the $SAVM token lockup yet.

Pyth Network ($PYTH) token staking review

When reviewing an airdrop, there are several factors to consider. First, the likelihood the project will even do an airdrop in the first place. Then, to look at how many tokens the project intends to allocate towards airdrop campaigns, as well as the difficulty in participating in their airdrop. It is also important to look at the utility of the token so that there will be an actual use and purpose in participating in the airdrop in the first place. Finally, a factor to consider when reviewing an airdrop is whether the airdropped tokens are subject to any lockup period.

Likelihood of airdrop: Pyth Network has finished its airdrop, but staking is to position yourself for other Solana ecosystem airdrops.

Airdropped token allocation: The airdropped token allocation would depend on the project doing the airdrop.

Airdrop difficulty: Positioning yourself for the airdrop only requires you to stake Pyth Network ($PYTH) tokens. This is very simple but does require real funds.

Token utility: The token utility would depend on the project doing the airdrop.

Token lockup: The token lockup period would depend on the project doing the airdrop.

    See below for more details.

    What is Linea?

Linea (formerly ConsenSys zkEVM) is a type 2 zero knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) created by Consensys– the team behind MetaMask. It replicates the Ethereum environment as a rollup, allowing developers to use the same tools and experience as they would on the Ethereum mainnet. With Linea, users can benefit from the security and trust of Ethereum, but with lower transaction costs. Impressively, Linea has raised around US$726 million in multiple funding rounds, and has a valuation of around US$7 billion. This beats out zkSync, which has so far raised US$458 million. Hence many see Linea as having huge potential.

On 28th March 2023, Linea rolled out its public testnet on MetaMask to all Chrome users. Giving all users and developers a chance to check out their testnet. they will also launch a NFT testnet voyage soon. Users flocked to try the Linea testnet in the hopes of positioning themselves for a potential Linea airdrop. This is because they see Linea has huge potential for airdrop gains that may even rival zkSync.

On 11th July 2023, Linea announced the launch of their Mainnet Alpha. During this stage, Linea will begin onboarding its partners and users, monitoring the system and supporting those who are building on it. It also marks the kickstart of their bug bounty program and testing before finally opening to end users.

    Is there a Linea token?

There is no mention of a Linea token in their Documentation yet, and according to a Consensys blog post on 13th December 2022, they have mentioned it is too early to discuss launching a Linea token. But, they have stated they are looking at ways to reward users who help test and improve Linea. Together with the attention and funding they have generated, there is a good possibility they will launch a token and do an airdrop in the future.

How to get a potential Linea airdrop?

Linea has mentioned they will be looking at ways to reward users that test their protocol, so interacting with Linea could be the key to getting a potential airdrop. Here’s how to get a potential Linea airdrop:

    1. Add Linea to MetaMask

    Join the Linea DeFi Voyage

The Linea DeFi Voyage is a new 6-week campaign launched by Linea in partnership with Interact. There is speculation that completing this voyage may position you for a potential airdrop because their announcement states that participants will be recognised as contributors to the Linea ecosystem. Also, participants will be rewarded with XP that can only be claimed once they successfully execute the Proof of Humanity (PoH) attestation. So, this seems to suggest that the soul bound XPs to be claimed may be a criterion for a potential $LINEA airdrop. Here’s how to participate in the Linea DeFi Voyage:

    • Set up your profile at https://www.intract.io/.
    • Go to the “Linea” tab at the top of the screen and complete each week’s Wave quests.
    • Week 0: These are social tasks
    • Week 1: This requires you to bridge at least $20 worth of ETH from Ethereum/zkSync/Optimism/Base/Arbitrum to Linea using MetaMask’s bridge function. As a bonus task you will also be required to swap at least $5 of ETH into any supported token using Metamask Portfolio on the Linea network.
    • Week 2: Bridge at least $25 worth of ETH from ETH token another network to Linea using any listed bridge partner dApp. We suggest using Stargate bridge as it also positions you for any potential Stargate airdrop. You can also complete the bonus tasks which includes doing more bridges with more ETH, and writing reviews.
    • Week 3: Swap at least $25 worth of ETH to any supported token on any supported DEX on Linea. You can find a list of the supported tokens and DEXs here.
    • Week 4: Borrow at least $25 worth of ETH/WETH in 1 transaction on any of the specified Linea ecosysyem money markets. You can also complete some of the bonus tasks if you supply specific coins as collateral i.e. stablecoins (for bonus task 1) or LST (wstETH) (for bonus task 2).
    • Week 5: To complete this task, you must provide a minimum of $25 worth of liquidity by using any 2 supported tokens with equivalent value. You must also provide liquidity on their specified DEXes.
    • Week 6: This is the last week and involves proof of humanity. You will need to verify your humanity by obtaining one attestation from a partner of Group A, and 2 attestations from the partners of Group B.

    Linea (ConsenSys zkEVM) airdrop review

When reviewing an airdrop, there are several factors to consider. First, the likelihood the project will even do an airdrop in the first place. Then, to look at how many tokens the project intends to allocate towards airdrop campaigns, as well as the difficulty in participating in their airdrop. It is also important to look at the utility of the token so that there will be an actual use and purpose in participating in the airdrop in the first place. Finally, a factor to consider when reviewing an airdrop is whether the airdropped tokens are subject to any lockup period.

Likelihood of Airdrop: Linea has confirmed they are looking at ways to reward users who help test and improve their protocol. With the attention and funding (more than zkSync!) they have generated, there is a good chance of an airdrop.

Airdropped Token Allocation: There is no information on the Linea token allocation yet.

Airdrop Difficulty: Users will need to interact with various projects in the Linea ecosystem. However, Linea is only in the public testnet stage so no real user funds will be used.

Token Utility:  There is no information on the Linea token utility yet.

Token Lockup: There is no information on the Linea token lockup yet.

  • Polygon zkEVM (MATIC) Token Airdrop Guide: LIVE NOW!

Polygon zkEVM (MATIC) Token Airdrop Guide: LIVE NOW!

Polygon recently launched its own zkEVM mainnet, and co-founder Sandeep Nailwal hinted on Twitter that there could be a MATIC airdrop for users! In this article, we will briefly explain what Polygon zkEVM is and what you can do to position for a potential airdrop.

    Polygon zkEVM Airdrop Step-by-Step Guide

Here’s how to get the Polygon zkEVM Airdrop:

    1. Add Polygon zkEVM to MetaMask
    2. Bridge to Polygon zkEVM
    3. Interact with Polygon zkEVM DApps
    4. BONUS: trade on Satori Finance
    5. DOUBLE BONUS: Join in the zkEVM saga with Intract x Polygon to get free NFTs

See below for more in-depth details!

    What is Polygon zkEVM?

Polygon zkEVM is a Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum that leverages the scaling power of zero-knowledge proofs while maintaining Ethereum compatibility, similar to zkSync and Linea. Developers and users on Polygon zkEVM can use the same code, tooling, and apps that they use on Ethereum, but with much higher throughput and lower fees. This allows Ethereum-based DApps to scale more efficiently, which is critical for mass adoption of DeFi.

What’s the Difference Between Polygon zkEVM and Polygon?

The original Polygon functions as a sidechain that runs parallel to the Ethereum mainnet, whereas Polygon zkEVM uses a ZK-Rollup architecture that is built on top of Ethereum. The key distinction is that Polygon is EVM compatible but Polygon zkEVM has total EVM equivalence. The latter is focused on being a near-perfect replica of Ethereum’s execution environment, which means it uses ETH instead of MATIC for gas fees.

Is There an Airdrop for Polygon zkEVM?

Yes, it is very likely there will be an airdrop for Polygon zkEVM users. Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, strongly hinted on Twitter that there will be a huge MATIC airdrop for zkEVM users. He also compared the current development of Polygon zkEVM to Arbitrum, which took more than a year to mature. This means that we are currently at the early stage, allowing users plenty of time to perform on-chain activities that would qualify them for the airdrop!

How to Get the Polygon zkEVM Airdrop?

The best way to get the MATIC airdrop is to interact with the Polygon zkEVM mainnet. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

    1. Add Polygon zkEVM to MetaMask

Go to ChainList and add Polygon zkEVM to MetaMask. It is launched on Mainnet Beta, which means you will need ETH for gas fees.

    2. Bridge to Polygon zkEVM

If you have funds on the Ethereum network, you can bridge ETH from Ethereum to Polygon zkEVM via the Native Bridge.

Alternatively, if you have funds on Arbitrum and/or gas fees are too high, you can also use other third-party bridges recommended by Polygon, such as Orbiter Finance. Using Orbiter Finance, in particular, refunds 60% to 70% gas fees back to you.

    3. Interact with Polygon zkEVM DApps

Here are the top DApps in Polygon zkEVM ranked by total value locked (TVL). Try to perform transactions consistently every week as frequency of smart contract interaction is an important criterion to qualify for the airdrop:

      Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs):
      1. Quickswap
      2. Kokonut Swap
      3. Dove Swap
      4. Mantis Swap

      Lending Protocol
      1. 0vix

    4. Interact with Quickswap

Here’s how to interact with Quickswap. First, connect your wallet to Quickswap Exchange. Make sure you have switched the network on Polygon zkEVM. Then, go to the Swap section and (1) Swap ETH for USDC; and (2) Swap the same amount of ETH for WETH. Afterwards, go to their Pool, select ETH and USDC tokens as the token pair, approve the tokens and add liquidity.

    5. Interact with Kokonut Swap.

Here’s how to interact with Kokonut Swap. First, connect your wallet to Kokonut Swap. Make sure you have switched the network on Polygon zkEVM. Then, go to their Swap page and swap ETH to USDC.

    6. Interact with Dove Swap

Here’s how to interact with Dove Swap. Connect your wallet to Dove Swap and make sure you are on the Polygon zkEVM network. Then, swap ETH for USDT.

    7. Interact with Mantis Swap.

Interact with Mantis Swap by going to their website. Then, connect your wallet and make sure you are on the zkEVM network. Finally, swap USDC to USDT.

    8. Interact with 0vix

To interact with 0vix, connect your wallet to their website and make sure you are on the Polygon zkEVM network. On the Supply Markets, supply a small amount of ETH and click “Supply”.

    9. BONUS: Trade on Satori Finance

Satori Finance is a protocol on Polygon zkEVM (as well as zkSync, Linea and Scroll). To trade on Satori Finance, connect your wallet to https://satori.finance/, making sure that you are on the Polygon network. Then, go to “Portfolio” and deposit some trades. Next, go to the “Trade” tab and do some trades.

    10. DOUBLE BONUS: Join in the zkEVM saga with Intract x Polygon to get free NFTs

Connect your wallet to the Quest Page and complete the tasks to get a free NFT. Tasks include signing messages, following social accounts and posting Tweets. Finally, click “Get your NFTs” and follow the instructions on your wallet to mint your free NFT. Note you will need to pay gas fees in ETH

Likelihood of Airdrop: Although not confirmed, it is very likely there will be a MATIC airdrop for Polygon zkEVM users, according to Sandeep Nailwal.

Airdropped Token Allocation: There is no confirmation on the token allocation, but Nailwal said that it would be a “massive” airdrop.

Airdrop Difficulty: Simply bridge to Polygon zkEVM and interact with QuickSwap and other high TVL DEXes. You will need real ETH to perform these tasks.

Token Utility: MATIC is the native token of the Polygon blockchain. Although Polygon zkEVM uses ETH for gas fees, it is likely MATIC will be airdropped as rewards.

Token Lockup: No mentions of token lockup.

    What is ZetaChain?

ZetaChain is a layer-1 blockchain that has built-in connectivity to all blockchains and their applications. It is also a smart contract platform that can manage assets, data, and liquidity on any chain, even non-smart contract chains such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin. The project has recently announced its US$27 million funding round by Blockchain.com, Human Capital and others to accelerate their goal to offer the first public EVM-compatible L1 blockchain.

The project is still in the testing phase, but it has a lot of potential for the future. One of its main benefits is that it enables omnichain decentralized applications (odApps), which are able to access and use information and liquidity from multiple blockchains simultaneously.

To make things even easier, ZetaChain has created a special app called the ZetaChain Swap App. This app allows users to transfer assets between any connected blockchain without having to go through a complicated process of wrapping or locking tokens. Instead, users can complete the transaction in just one step.

    Does ZetaChain have a Token?

Yes, ZetaChain confirmed in its whitepaper that there will be a $ZETA token. The token will be used for paying gas fees, securing the proof-of-stake blockchain, and enabling cross-chain transfers, swaps, and messaging.

Additionally, $ZETA will be issued natively across multiple layers and chains. As of now, ZetaChain has not yet published its tokenomics nor officially announced an airdrop. But its testnet is incentivized, which generally indicates an airdrop for its users. People have also noticed that ZetaChain now has a page on CoinMarketCap, is this a hint that the $ZETA token is launching soon?

How to Receive Potential $ZETA Airdrop?

The best chance to receive a potential $ZETA airdrop is to interact with their incentivized testnets. You can accrue ZETA points by completing various tasks, and these points will most likely translate to airdrop rewards once the token is launched. Here’s a step-by-step guide.

Likelihood of Airdrop: Nostra is part of the StarkNet ecosystem, who is currently planning out the distribution mechanism for the token, which means an airdrop could be likely.

Token Allocation: The $NOS token allocation is unknown.

Airdrop Difficulty: Only the lending feature is available on the platform, so positioning yourself for this airdrop is quite easy. In any case, it is good to follow this Nostra $NOS token airdrop guide since it could also position you for a potential StarkNet airdrop.

Token Utility: The $NOS token utility is unknown.

Token Lockup: The $NOS token lockup is unknown.

    4. Know where to trade $ARB.

    See below for more details.

    What is Arbitrum?

Arbitrum is a layer-2 scaling solution designed to lower network congestion and transaction costs of Ethereum by offloading tons of computation and data storage from the main chain. It does this via the use of optimistic rollup — transactions on Ethereum are bundled up and transferred to a proprietary sidechain on Arbitrum (a secondary blockchain connected to the main chain). The transactions are then processed and sent back to the main chain after validation.

    What is an Optimistic Rollup?

The optimistic rollup is the core element of Arbitrum. For those who do not know what an optimistic rollup is, we got you covered with a simple explanation.

Optimistic rollups assume all transactions as valid, hence an “optimistic” outlook. There is a time period during which users can dispute any suspicious transactions contained in a bundle. If a fraudulent transaction is detected, a fraud proof is executed which basically runs the correct transaction computation using the data on the main chain.

Since optimistic rollups do not perform any computation by default, it offers massive improvements in scalability. On the downside, potential fraud challenges of optimistic rollups could lead to delays in transactions, since progress comes to a halt until it the dispute is resolved.

    Arbitrum’s Version of Optimistic Rollup

To provide context, optimistic rollups are compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and Solidity, which allow developers to port Ethereum-native smart contracts to rollups or even use existing tooling to create new decentralized applications (DApp). But for Arbitrum, it has its own virtual machine called Arbitrum Virtual Machine (AVM).

Arbitrum’s AVM greatly improves optimistic rollups because it stores very little data on-chain for optimal scalability. Moreover, to address potential delays due to fraud challenges, the AVM uses pipelining to process multiple disputes, while verification nodes help speed up the process.

This is called multi-round fraud proofs. Arbitrum uses a fine-combing approach to verify fraud proofs. It focuses on a particular point of disagreement over transaction history. Additionally, layer-2 transactions are not entirely executed on the main chain, rendering gas block limits irrelevant. As a result, this translates to higher network performance.

Who is the Team behind Arbitrum?

Arbitrum is developed by Offchain Labs, a New York-based startup committed to building innovative Ethereum scaling solutions. The company originated from the computer science research department of Princeton University, co-founded in 2018 by Harry Kalodner, Steven Goldfeder, and Ed Felten.

In September 2021, Offchain Labs raised $120 million in a Series B funding round from the likes of Alameda Research, Pantera Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and many other major crypto venture capitals. The team has since then expanded to a global community of developers, academics and operators, with deep experience in cryptography, decentralized systems, and game theory.

    Leading DApps on Arbitrum Ecosystem

Arbitrum’s layer-2 network allows developers to build and deploy highly scalable smart contracts at low cost, while benefitting from Ethereum’s robust layer-one security. Since its launch last year, the Arbitrum ecosystem has greatly expanded, ranking 6th in all chains total value locked with 129 integrated protocols.

    source: news.cryptorank.io/

Some of the top decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols include Uniswap, Curve, Aave, Balancer, and SushiSwap. Additionally, Arbitrum is not without its native protocols built on the blockchain which include GMX, Radiant, Dopex, and Vesta Finance.

    $ARB Token

$ARB will solely function as a governance tool for the Arbitrum protocol, unlike ETH which is used to pay fees on both Ethereum and Arbitrum. The governance process of Arbitrum DAO will be autonomous, allowing votes to directly modify the core code of Arbitrum.

The total supply will be 10 billion, with the Arbitrum community controlling 56%. The airdrop will distribute 12.75% (i.e. 1.275 billion $ARB) to eligible users on 23rd March 2023. The rest of the community tokens will be allocated to a treasury governed by the Arbitrum DAO, allowing ARB holders to vote on fund disbursement.

The remaining 44% will be given to Offchain Labs’ investors and employees, who developed Arbitrum. These tokens will be subject to lock-up periods and vesting schedules. Notably, the proportion of ARB reserved for insiders is higher compared to similar projects, such as Optimism, which allocated 36% of its OP tokens to investors and core contributors.

$ARB Airdrop Eligibility: How to claim Arbitrum $ARB token airdrop

According to Nansen, 625,143 wallet addresses are eligible for the Arbiturm $ARB token airdrop. You can check on arbitrum.foundation to see if you are eligible. How to claim Arbitrum ($ARB) token faster?

Arbitrum has confirmed its airdrop can be claimed on 23rd March 2023 when the Ethereum chain reaches block 16890400. It is very likely that the Arbitrum network will be very congested during that time as users are anxiously waiting to get their tokens to potentially trade on exchanges. However, there are ways to be faster at the Arbitrum airdrop claim, and how to buy, sell or trade your $ARB before anyone else. Note however this carries risks. You may risk ending up being slower than others, lose your gas fees and even your $ARB, so proceed with caution. Here’s how you can potentially claim your $ARB tokens faster and buy, sell, or trade your $ARB before others:

    1. Make your own RPC endpoint on Alchemy.
    2. Pre-approve the token contract.
    3. Have sufficient ETH ready.
    4. Know where to trade $ARB.

Make your own RPC endpoint on Alchemy

Here’s how to make your own RPC endpoint on Alchemy:

    1. Sign up for Alchemy here.
    2. Create an app for Arbitrum. Make sure you select “Arbitrum” under “Chain”.
    3. Click “View Key” on the main page. There, you will get an RPC https URL.
    4. Add a network on MetaMask. Go to “Settings”, “Networks”, “Add network” and “Add network manually”. Under “New RPC URL”, enter the RPC https URL from Alchemy. Then under “Chain ID” enter 42161, “ETH” as the Currency Symbol, and “https://arbiscan.io” under Block Explorer.

    Pre-approve the token contract

To be even faster than everyone else in claiming $ARB, you can pre-approve the Arbitrum token contract on protocols such as 1inch and Uniswap. To do this, go to the $ARB smart contract and click “Write as Proxy”. Then, connect your wallet. Under spender, fill in the address for either Uniswap or 1inch. Finally, fill in the number of $ARB you want to trade with that smart contract. For example, filling in 20000000000000000000000 will mean you are approving 20,000 $ARB to be traded.

    Have sufficient ETH ready

This is to pay for gas fees when trading $ARB. Note you will have to bridge your ETH to Arbitrum.

    Know where to trade $ARB
