The MANTRA campaign described in this 2024 guide is over. Hongbai was a pre-mainnet incentivized testnet, the network launched in October 2024, and the legacy ERC-20 OM migration closed on January 15, 2026. On March 2, 2026, mainnet OM was redenominated 1:4 and renamed MANTRA: one OM became four MANTRA without changing a holder’s proportional ownership.
There is no reason to join the old waitlist, buy an NFT, stake ATOM or complete the archived Galxe quiz in expectation of qualifying for that distribution now. Those were speculative or time-limited 2024 steps, not current eligibility rules.
Safety warning: Do not connect a wallet to a page offering a “late OM migration” or a new claim based on this article. Confirm any live allocation inside the official MANTRA Zone reached through
mantrachain.io, and inspect every signature. The original guide is retained below for historical context with expired action links disabled.
MANTRA campaign status in 2026
| Item from the 2024 guide | Current status |
|---|---|
| Hongbai incentivized testnet waitlist | Ended; MANTRA Chain mainnet launched on October 10, 2024 |
| Possible eligibility from ATOM staking or named NFTs | Not a current farming route; old snapshots and eligibility periods have passed |
| MANTRA DAO / Finance OM staking multiplier | Historical pre-mainnet incentive, not a new distribution method |
| Galxe social quests and quiz | Historical campaign activity; completing it now cannot retroactively change a snapshot |
| ERC-20 OM migration | Closed January 15, 2026; the Ethereum token is deprecated |
| Mainnet OM token | Renamed and split into MANTRA at a 1:4 ratio on March 2, 2026 |
What happened to OM?
OM began as an ERC-20 token in 2020. After governance approved using it for the new layer 1, MANTRA launched its Cosmos-SDK-based mainnet with OM as the native staking coin. A one-way migration process burned legacy ERC-20 OM and released the corresponding mainnet coins.
That migration window has ended. MANTRA’s current token background says the Ethereum supply was officially deprecated on January 15, 2026. Sending ERC-20 OM to an old bridge flow now is not a supported migration strategy.
At mainnet block 13,000,000 on March 2, 2026:
- 1 mainnet OM became 4 MANTRA;
- the ticker changed from OM to MANTRA;
- the maximum hard cap changed proportionally to 10 billion MANTRA; and
- no action was required for holders already on MANTRA Chain.
This was a token split, not a fourfold gain. Quantity and maximum supply changed by the same factor.
What happened to the airdrop allocation?
MANTRA’s mainnet tokenomics allocated 2.8% of the genesis supply—originally 50 million OM—to airdrops. The documented schedule had a 10% initial unlock in March 2025 and linear vesting through March 2027 after a six-month cliff. Following the 1:4 split, allocation quantities are multiplied by four while their proportional share remains the same.
An allocation or unvested balance is not the same as open eligibility. Users who participated in an old campaign should check only the official “My Overview” area in MANTRA Zone for an allocation already attached to their wallet. No one can create retroactive eligibility by selling a code, NFT, validator delegation or recovery service.
MANTRA Chain today
MANTRA Chain is a delegated-proof-of-stake layer 1 focused on real-world-asset issuance and regulated applications. Its current documentation describes Cosmos SDK and IBC functionality alongside EVM compatibility added through the Abunnati upgrade. MANTRA is used for transaction fees, staking and network governance.
“Compliance-focused” does not mean every tokenized asset, application or offer is approved in every jurisdiction. Users must evaluate the issuer, legal rights, custody, transfer restrictions and local rules for each real-world-asset product separately.
The April 2025 OM market collapse
On April 13, 2025, OM fell about 92% in roughly one hour. MANTRA’s statement of events said its investigation found no team sales during the event and attributed the cascade to forced closures of leveraged positions during low-liquidity trading hours. That is the project’s account of the event, not an independently conclusive explanation of every trade.
The episode is a useful warning: an allocation, staking yield or planned tokenization product does not remove market-liquidity, leverage, custody or concentration risk.
How to check a historical allocation safely
- Type
mantrachain.ioyourself or use a saved official bookmark; do not follow a sponsored search result or direct message. - Navigate from the official site to MANTRA Zone and its “My Overview” section.
- Confirm the connected address is the address used during the original campaign or the linked mainnet address.
- Read whether the balance is claimable, vested or already claimed before signing anything.
- Reject any signature requesting seed words, an unlimited token approval, a transfer to “verify” ownership or remote-control access.
- Check the live ticker and network. MANTRA Chain’s native asset is MANTRA; legacy ERC-20 OM is deprecated.

MANTRA Chain ($OM) is the first Real World Asset (RWA) Layer 1 Blockchain on the Cosmos ecosystem that ensures adherence to real-world regulatory requirements while enabling seamless participation in the evolving the RWA tokenization space for developers and institutions. MANTRA Chain has set aside 50 million $OM tokens for community airdrops. ATOM stakers and specific NFT holders will receive the allocated airdropped tokens. Additionally, MANTRA plans to double their token supply for the upcoming mainnet launch, and participants of the Hongbai Incentivized Testnet in April 2024 (and potentially others) will be eligible for the $OM airdrop. Here’s our guide to the MANTRA Chain ($OM) token airdrop.

What is MANTRA Chain?
MANTRA Chain is a RWA-focused Layer 1 blockchain built to bridge the gap between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). Here are the main features of MANTRA chain:
- Real World Asset Tokenization: MANTRA Chain is designed to facilitate the on-chain tokenization of RWAs. Crucially, tokenization of RWAs will have an expected valuation of US$16 trillion by 2030. This will be crucial in bridging TradFi and DeFi.
- Security and Compliance: MANTRA Chain is a security-first Layer 1 blockchain that adheres to regulations and compliance frameworks. Their aim is to address the current ecosystem’s lack of compliance and fragmented liquidity.
- Technical Architecture: Utilizing Cosmos SDK, MANTRA Chain offers a modular, scalable, and interoperable infrastructure for developers to build dApps and protocols, supported by the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) Protocol.
- Ecosystem and Governance: The platform integrates MANTRA Finance, MANTRA DAO, and MANTRA Chain into the Omniverse ecosystem, emphasizing regulatory compliance, community engagement, and on-chain governance.
MANTRA Chain stands out for its focus on creating a permissionless blockchain for permissioned applications. Thereby ensuring a compliant environment for tokenization and decentralized applications within the Cosmos ecosystem.
MANTRA has recently raised US$11 million in funding led by Shorooq Partners, a prominent venture and technology investment firm in the MENA region. Other investors include Mapleblock, Three Point Capital, Forte Securities, Virtuzone, Hex Trust, GameFi Ventures, Token Bay Capital, Virtuzone, BlackPine, Mapleblock, Fuse Capital, 280 Capital, Caladan (Alphalab Capital) and others.

Frequently asked questions
Is the MANTRA OM airdrop still available?
The 2024 farming steps are over. Historical participants may still have an allocated or vesting balance, but joining Hongbai, staking ATOM or doing an old quest now cannot create retroactive eligibility.
Is Hongbai testnet still running for airdrop eligibility?
No. Hongbai was an incentivized pre-mainnet campaign. MANTRA Chain mainnet launched in October 2024.
Can I still migrate ERC-20 OM to MANTRA Chain?
No. MANTRA's official documentation says the migration window ended and the Ethereum ERC-20 token was deprecated on January 15, 2026.
What happened to the OM ticker?
On March 2, 2026, the mainnet asset was renamed MANTRA. Each OM became four MANTRA in a proportional 1:4 token split.
Did the 1:4 MANTRA token split multiply the value of holdings?
No. The number of units and maximum supply both changed by the same factor, so the split did not by itself change a holder's proportional share.
Do MANTRA Chain holders need to swap their tokens after the split?
No action was required for assets already on MANTRA Chain; the redenomination happened automatically at block 13,000,000. Users of an exchange should consult that exchange's own support notice.
Where should I check an old MANTRA allocation?
Navigate from the official MANTRA Chain website to MANTRA Zone and check “My Overview” with the original or linked wallet. Do not use a claim link from a message or advertisement.
When does the MANTRA airdrop allocation finish vesting?
The published tokenomics describes linear vesting through March 2027 for the genesis airdrop allocation. An individual wallet's schedule and eligibility should be checked in the official interface.
What happened to OM in April 2025?
OM fell about 92% in roughly one hour on April 13, 2025. MANTRA attributed the cascade to forced closures of leveraged positions and said there were no team sales during the event.
Is MANTRA Chain regulated?
The ecosystem emphasizes compliance and includes regulated service entities, but that does not make every application, token or RWA product approved everywhere. Legal rights and availability must be assessed product by product.
