EtherMail airdrop and EMT status in 2026

EtherMail's onchain token is EMAIL Token (EMT), not EMC. EMT launched on 12 June 2024 and is an ERC-20 token on Base. EMC means EtherMail Coins: internal, non-transferable credits or points that EtherMail can make eligible for conversion into EMT under rules it sets for each reward pool.

EtherMail now runs EMC-to-EMT pools rather than one permanent public airdrop. During a pool, eligible users can earn EMC through the actions shown in the live platform. After that pool ends, qualifying accounts can convert the relevant EMC allocation into EMT. EtherMail's pool page reports that previous pools distributed 18,584,426 EMT, but it does not mean every historical EMC balance can be claimed at any time.

What is the difference between EMC and EMT?

EMC is an offchain programme credit. EtherMail's legal terms say EMC cannot be converted to cash, is non-refundable, is not a token and cannot be transferred, sold or donated. EtherMail may allow a user to exchange EMC for services or convert it to EMT, but the company chooses the applicable coefficient and programme rules.

EMT is the transferable onchain asset. EtherMail describes it as a Base ERC-20 utility token used for user rewards and premium ecosystem features. The official token page lists 18 decimals, an initial circulating supply of 60 million and a total supply of 1 billion EMT.

Do not import an EMT contract found in an email, direct message or search advertisement. The Base contract shown above is the address displayed by BaseScan for EtherMail's verified token. A different chain or address may be an unrelated token using the same ticker.

How EMC-to-EMT reward pools work

  1. Use the official EtherMail application and review the currently displayed pool, if one is open.
  2. Complete only the eligible actions and profile requirements stated for that pool.
  3. Wait for the pool to close; points earned outside its dates may not belong to that allocation.
  4. Check eligibility inside EtherMail. Anti-abuse screening can exclude flagged accounts.
  5. Review the displayed EMC-to-EMT conversion and destination before claiming.
  6. If withdrawing EMT to a self-custody wallet, confirm that the destination supports Base and the official token contract.

EtherMail says its pools have included actions such as completing a profile, downloading the app, reading emails and sharing content. Those actions and reward amounts can change between pools. The old “50 EMC for connecting,” “200 EMC for a backup email” and “250 EMC per referral” figures in the archived guide are not a current universal conversion schedule.

Can an old EMC balance still be claimed?

An EMC balance alone does not establish a right to EMT. EtherMail's terms give the company discretion over conversion coefficients and eligibility, and the current model ties claims to individual pools. Pool 0, for example, was limited to early adopters who had engaged since 1 October 2023 and were not flagged as bots.

Log in only through ethermail.io and check the pools section for the account's actual status. If the account appears incorrectly flagged, EtherMail's official EMT/EMC FAQ directs users to its published support address. Never pay a “verification fee” to a person in a direct message, and never disclose a seed phrase to recover an allocation.

EtherMail reward and token risks

  • Points are not tokens: EMC is non-transferable and has no guaranteed cash value.
  • Conversion risk: EtherMail controls the conversion coefficient, eligibility and pool rules.
  • Expiry risk: pool claims are tied to defined periods; unclaimed EMT can return to EtherMail for future incentives.
  • Anti-abuse risk: multiple accounts, bots or suspicious activity can make an account ineligible.
  • Contract-confusion risk: other projects use the EMT ticker; verify the Base address character by character.
  • Price risk: a distributed utility token can fall substantially in market value.
  • Privacy risk: connecting email, social and wallet identities can link previously separate activity.
  • Phishing risk: a fake reward email can imitate the product's own email-based claim experience.
  • Network risk: sending Base EMT to an unsupported exchange address can result in loss.

Ethermail Airdrop Review

When reviewing an airdrop, there are several factors to consider. First, the likelihood the project will even do an airdrop in the first place. Then, to look at how many tokens the project intends to allocate towards airdrop campaigns, as well as the difficulty in participating in their airdrop. It is also important to look at the utility of the token so that there will be an actual use and purpose in participating in the airdrop in the first place. Finally, a factor to consider when reviewing an airdrop is whether the airdropped tokens are subject to any lockup period.

Likelihood of Airdrop: The Ethermail airdrop is already live!

Airdropped Token Allocation: The tokenomics of their $EMC token are unknown.

Airdrop Difficulty: This is one of the simplest airdrops we have done, and best of all, it is free!

Token Utility: The $EMC token utility is unknown.

Token Lockup: The $EMC token lockup period is unknown.

Frequently asked questions

Did EtherMail launch a token?

Yes. EMAIL Token (EMT) launched on 12 June 2024 as an ERC-20 token on Base.

What is the official EMT contract address?

The verified Base token address is 0xe2c86869216aC578bd62a4b8313770d9EE359A05. Verify it through EtherMail and BaseScan before interacting.

Is EMC a cryptocurrency token?

No. EtherMail's legal terms define EMC as internal credits or points that are non-transferable and are not tokens.

Can EMC be converted to EMT?

Eligible EMC can be converted through EtherMail's reward pools under the coefficient and rules set for that pool. Conversion is not automatic or guaranteed for every balance.

Is the original EtherMail airdrop completed?

The 2023 pre-token sign-up programme is historical. EtherMail now distributes eligible EMT rewards through separate, time-bounded EMC-to-EMT pools.

Can I still claim an old EMC balance?

Possibly only if EtherMail marks the account and balance eligible for a specific pool. Check the account inside the official application; a balance by itself does not guarantee EMT.

What is the EMT total supply?

EtherMail lists a total supply of 1 billion EMT and an initial circulating supply of 60 million EMT.

How do users earn EtherMail rewards now?

Actions depend on the active pool and can include profile completion, app use, reading eligible marketing emails and sharing content. Check the live pool rather than old fixed reward figures.

Why might an account be excluded?

EtherMail applies anti-abuse screening and says bot-like, duplicate or otherwise abusive activity can make accounts ineligible for EMC-to-EMT conversion.

How can I avoid a fake EMT claim?

Use ethermail.io, confirm the Base contract, inspect every transaction and never share a recovery phrase or private key in an email, form or support conversation.
