Elixir airdrop status in 2026
The Apothecary farming campaign in the original guide has ended. ELX launched alongside public mainnet in March 2025, with exchange trading beginning on 7 March. The initial eligibility checker remains hosted at claim.elixir.xyz, although access can be restricted by region and an old allocation should not be mistaken for a new airdrop.
The guide's deUSD staking instructions must not be followed. Elixir sunset deUSD in November 2025 after Stream Finance disclosed a $93 million loss and halted withdrawals. Elixir had approximately $68 million of lending exposure to Stream through Morpho. The project disabled deUSD minting and redemption, took snapshots for compensation and explicitly warned users not to buy deUSD.

| New general ELX airdrop | No new blanket claim verified |
How to check the original ELX airdrop
- Start at elixir.xyz or the official Elixir Network Claim Checker.
- Connect the same EVM address used in the Apothecary or other eligible Elixir activities.
- Review the displayed initial allocation and delegation status. A zero allocation does not justify connecting to a “recheck” site.
- If ELX was claimed and automatically delegated, use the official validator interface to view rewards, undelegate or choose another validator.
- Verify any received token against the official Ethereum contract below.
The launch page says initial airdrop tokens were automatically delegated to an Elixir Foundation validator. The original three-month stabilization period has passed. Current staking documentation gives regular ELX undelegation a seven-day cooldown, so users should check the live transaction details rather than rely on launch-era screenshots.
The claim checker can display an “unavailable in your region” notice. Do not use a VPN to bypass legal or sanctions controls, and do not use a look-alike domain that promises unrestricted access.
Official ELX contract and tokenomics
ELX is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. The verified contract is:
0x89A8c847f41C0dfA6c8B88638bACca8a0b777Da7
The contract has a maximum supply of 1 billion ELX. Elixir's initial token-economics announcement allocated 41% of supply to the community. It used Apothecary participation, community contributions and selected DeFi activity to calculate the first airdrop, with a minimum allocation cutoff and a snapshot taken on 28 February 2025.
ELX is used for network governance, validator security and delegation. Validators must self-delegate at least 9,000 ELX, while other holders can delegate to an active validator. Elixir documentation says 12% of total supply is emitted for validator security over 20 years.
What happened to deUSD?
deUSD was a synthetic dollar issued by Elixir, and sdeUSD was its staked form. The 2024 article encouraged users to convert elxETH into deUSD and lock it for Apothecary rewards. That route later became materially unsafe and is no longer an operating product.
In November 2025, Stream Finance disclosed that an external fund manager had lost approximately $93 million. Stream stopped deposits and withdrawals. Elixir said Stream held roughly 90% of the deUSD supply while a similar share of Elixir's remaining backing consisted of a Morpho loan to Stream. Elixir then:
- processed redemptions for about 80% of non-Stream deUSD holders;
- disabled deUSD minting and ordinary redemption;
- snapshotted remaining deUSD, sdeUSD and affected liquidity positions;
- opened USDC compensation contracts for eligible holders; and
- declared deUSD sunset and warned against buying it through AMMs.
Elixir later opened a separate limited-time partner-claims route for affected lenders. Both the previously published elixir.xyz/deusd/claims page and partnerclaims.elixir.xyz now return 404. Anyone with an unresolved historical position should contact Elixir through the support link on its verified website or official Discord and provide the relevant wallet and transaction evidence. Do not connect to a replacement claim page found through search or direct messages.
What does Elixir do after deUSD?
Elixir continues to describe itself as infrastructure for institutional on-chain liquidity. Its delegated proof-of-stake validator network reaches consensus on data and order proposals for exchange-liquidity operations, while ELX provides the network's economic security and governance.
Some public documentation still contains launch-era descriptions of deUSD as an active product. Those pages should be read as stale unless they are reconciled with the project's later sunset announcement. Current product status and live interfaces take precedence over older marketing copy.
Elixir and ELX risks
- Counterparty risk: the deUSD loss showed how a large off-chain or private lending exposure can dominate an ostensibly diversified backing model.
- Stale-documentation risk: some official pages still describe deUSD as active even though the project sunset it.
- Claim risk: compensation and airdrop pages can be time-limited or region-restricted.
- Phishing: old claim events attract copycat sites. Never enter a seed phrase or private key.
- Staking risk: delegated ELX is subject to smart-contract, validator and cooldown risks.
- Token risk: governance utility and a fixed supply do not prevent price volatility or poor liquidity.
- Upgradeable contract risk: ELX uses a proxy contract, so users should monitor official upgrade and governance disclosures.

The following author-written copy is preserved for historical context. Its referral link has been removed, and the deUSD instructions must not be followed because the product was sunset.
Elixir ($ELX) is a modular Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) network designed to enhance liquidity on orderbook exchanges by enabling cross-chain and composable integrations into the core infrastructure of leading DEXs. They have Elixir already taken the Season 1 snapshot of Apothecary holders. So, if you participated in Season 1, you could commit your elxETH and unlock the potential to earn more rewards. However, Season 2 Apocathary is just around the corner! Here is our Elixir ($ELX) token airdrop guide.
Check out our step-by-step guide!
What is Elixir ($ELX)?
Elixir ($ELX) is a modular DPoS network designed to power liquidity on orderbook exchanges. Here are some of Elixir’s main features:
- Native Integrations: It has over 30 native integrations with leading DEXs, making it a crucial infrastructure component for these platforms.
- Modular DPoS Network: Elixir is a modular DPoS network designed to enhance liquidity on orderbook exchanges.
- Cross-Chain and Composable: It supports cross-chain functionality and can be integrated into the core infrastructure of decentralized exchanges (DEXs).
- Liquidity Bootstrapping: Elixir helps exchanges and protocols easily bootstrap liquidity to their order books.
What is the Elixir ($ELX) token?
The Elixir ($ELX) token is the native utility and governance token of the Elixir ecosystem, essential for network security and community-led governance. Here are its main uses:
- Governance: ELX holders can propose and vote on network proposals.
- Security: Validators must stake ELX tokens to maintain network integrity.
- Decentralization: ELX drives the platform’s goal of being decentralized and permissionless.
- Fee Control: Post-mainnet, ELX holders will manage network fees and value distribution.
How to get the Elixir ($ELX) token airdrop
- Optional: Check Elixir Season 1 Apothecary Connect your wallet to the historical Elixir Apothecary. Make sure you are on the Ethereum network and sign the transaction. Check your elxETH balance.
- Optional: Withdraw elxETH You can choose to withdraw your elxETH balance. Note however you will not receive any Points for rewards for Season 2 Apothecary if you do so.
- Optional: Stake elxETH balance You can participate in Season 2 Apothecary by committing your deposited elxETH by converting it to deUSD. Then, enter the amount of deUSD you wish to stake and click “Stake deUSD”. Note you will need to stake your tokens for 10 weeks until the end of Season 2.
- Newcomers: Buy and stake deUSD If you do not have any elxETH to convert to deUSD, click “BUY DEUSD”. You will then be directed to Curve.fi. There, you will be able to swap some deUSD. Afterwards, enter the amount of deUSD you wish to stake and click “Stake deUSD”. Note you will need to stake your tokens for 10 weeks until the end of Season 2.
