MetaMask Rewards Guide: What Is Live and Is MASK Confirmed?

MetaMask has a real rewards product. It does not currently have a confirmed MASK token airdrop.

That distinction is easy to miss because older posts often combine the two ideas. MetaMask Rewards Season 1 did distribute LINEA allocations and other benefits, but MetaMask’s current help center says Season 1 has ended, future activity is focused on separate campaigns, and there are no plans for a MASK token at this time.

You can still use MetaMask Rewards. Just judge each campaign by the reward it actually names instead of assuming every point will convert into a future token.

MetaMask token status on August 13, 2026

The official MetaMask Rewards help page separates Rewards from the rumored MASK token. It says the loyalty program now runs primarily through campaigns and benefits, with eligibility, timing, and rewards set independently for each one.

The same help page says there are no concrete plans for another season and no plans for a MASK token at this time. That is stronger and more recent evidence than old interviews, screenshots, or social posts that speculate about a ticker.

What is confirmed:

  • MetaMask Rewards is an official loyalty program inside MetaMask.
  • Campaigns can reward eligible users for specified actions.
  • The Benefits tab can show partner offers that a wallet can claim.
  • Season 1 ended and its claim window closed.

What is not confirmed:

  • A MASK token.
  • A MASK airdrop snapshot.
  • A permanent conversion rate from points to a future MetaMask token.
  • A new season that carries over every previous point.

What happened in MetaMask Rewards Season 1?

MetaMask’s Season 1 announcement described points for swaps, perps, prediction markets, card spending, referrals, and some past activity. Rewards included a LINEA token allocation at one level, trading-fee discounts, boosts, and partner benefits.

The announcement now carries updates saying Season 1 ended and that the product returned with trading challenges, airdrops from partners, and a Benefits tab. That means Rewards remains active as a product, but old Season 1 point rates and thresholds should not be copied into a new campaign. Open the campaign details in your app and read the current terms.

How to use MetaMask Rewards safely

1. Update MetaMask through an official store

Use the download links on metamask.io or update the app through the store where you installed it. Fake wallet extensions and sponsored search results are a common way to steal seed phrases.

2. Open Rewards inside the app

In MetaMask Mobile, open the Rewards tab. The official help center says active campaigns, claimable benefits, and ongoing incentives appear there. If a campaign is not visible in your app, do not assume an external claim page is a shortcut.

3. Read the campaign-specific rules

Check the start and end dates, eligible countries, qualifying actions, fees, and named reward. Some campaigns may require trading volume, while others may offer a one-time partner benefit. They are separate programs, so participation in one does not automatically improve another.

4. Use activity you already intended to do

Swapping solely to generate points can cost more in spread, price impact, gas, and fees than the reward is worth. The same warning applies to perps and prediction markets, where you can lose principal. If a normal transaction happens to qualify, that is different from churning volume for an unspecified future payoff.

5. Claim from the in-app path

MetaMask says most partner benefits open from its Benefits tab. Start there, verify the destination domain, and review the wallet signature. MetaMask support will never need your recovery phrase to fix a reward.

Should you farm MetaMask for a MASK airdrop?

No official source currently supports that strategy. Using the wallet may still make sense because you need its features, or because a specific Rewards campaign names a benefit you want. Paying fees to manufacture activity for an unannounced token is a different bet.

If MetaMask changes its position, look for a dated announcement on metamask.io and matching information inside the app. A token contract address posted in a reply is not confirmation. Neither is a website that asks you to check eligibility before MetaMask announces a checker.

Costs and risks

MetaMask itself is self-custodial, so you remain responsible for every signature. Rewards do not make a risky swap, leveraged trade, or bridge safe. Campaigns may also exclude certain countries, change their terms, or close before you act.

The privacy tradeoff is worth noting. A rewards program can connect wallet activity, referrals, and account data. Read the data disclosure linked from the official help center before opting in.

Bottom line

MetaMask Rewards is a legitimate way to receive disclosed campaign rewards and benefits. MASK remains speculation as of August 13, 2026. Open Rewards inside the official app, evaluate each campaign on its own terms, and do not spend money based on an assumed token conversion.

MetaMask Rewards and MASK token FAQ

Is MetaMask Rewards an official program?

Yes. MetaMask Rewards is the wallet's official loyalty program, with campaigns, ongoing incentives, and eligible benefits displayed in the Rewards tab of MetaMask Mobile.

Is a MetaMask MASK token confirmed?

No. As of August 13, 2026, MetaMask's official Rewards help page says there are no plans for a MASK token.

Is there a confirmed MASK airdrop?

No. MetaMask has not announced a MASK token, snapshot, eligibility checker, or token claim. Websites and messages presenting any of those as official should be treated as potential scams.

What can MetaMask Rewards users actually earn?

The reward depends on the specific campaign or benefit shown in the app. Official examples include partner benefits and ongoing incentives, but each program has its own rules, timing, eligibility, and named reward.

Did MetaMask Rewards Season 1 end?

Yes. MetaMask says Season 1 and its claim window ended. The program now focuses primarily on separate campaigns, ongoing rewards, and benefits.

Will Season 1 points convert into MASK?

No official source promises that conversion. MetaMask says past participation may or may not be considered for future incentives and currently says there are no plans for a MASK token.

Where can I find genuine MetaMask Rewards campaigns?

Open MetaMask Mobile and use its Rewards tab. MetaMask says the rules displayed on each in-app campaign page are the official source of truth.

Are MetaMask Rewards available in every country?

No. Campaign and benefit eligibility can vary by geography. The Rewards tab tells an account whether it is eligible for a particular campaign.

Should I trade only to farm MetaMask Rewards?

Usually not. Swaps, perps, bridges, and prediction-market trades can create fees and losses that exceed a disclosed reward, and no unannounced MASK allocation should be assumed.

How do I avoid a fake MetaMask reward claim?

Enter Rewards through the official app, follow only its in-app links, verify any partner domain, and never reveal a Secret Recovery Phrase or private key. A MASK presale or eligibility checker is not official confirmation.

Risk disclosure: Wallet transactions are irreversible. Never enter a recovery phrase on a rewards page, and do not trade, bridge, or pay fees solely because someone promises a future MASK allocation.
