Avalon Labs ($AVL) token airdrop guide
Contents

Avalon Labs is a Bitcoin-focused lending and stablecoin platform. This article originally covered Stage 2 of its AVL token airdrop, announced in March 2025.

2026 update: AVL launched in February 2025, and the Stage 2 qualification period described below is over. Stage 2 was a 180-day unlock program specifically for eligible whale users who had not claimed in Stage 1—not a new public airdrop anyone could farm. We did not find an open first-party Stage 2 claim or a new public AVL airdrop during our August 13, 2026 review. The original instructions are preserved as a historical guide.

Eligibility warning: Avalon's current website says its content and services do not target U.S. persons or residents or nationals of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other prohibited countries. Do not use a VPN or other method to evade the platform's restrictions. Check the current terms and your local rules before connecting a wallet.

What is Avalon Labs ($AVL)?

Avalon Labs ($AVL) is a decentralized liquidity protocol designed for Bitcoin holders to access liquidity, earn sustainable yields, and utilize Bitcoin-backed stablecoins without selling their assets. Its main features include USDa, a Bitcoin-backed stablecoin offering instant liquidity and fixed borrowing rates, and USDaLend, a decentralized lending platform providing stable rates and scalable borrowing options. Avalon Labs also supports Bitcoin Liquid Staking tokens and derivatives, creating additional yield opportunities while maintaining security.

The original article reported US$11.5 million in funding. This included a US$10 million Series A announced in December 2024, led by Framework Ventures with participants including Kenetic Capital, SNZ Holding, UTXO Management and Presto Labs. The former US$30 million valuation claim has been removed because we could not substantiate it with current primary material or the Series A report.

2026 project note: Avalon continues to offer USDa, USDaLend and Bitcoin-backed lending products. These are financial products involving real assets; descriptions such as “stable” or “sustainable” do not guarantee principal, liquidity or a particular yield.

Archived Avalon Labs Stage 2 airdrop steps

The following steps document the 2025 campaign. They do not establish eligibility for a current reward, and users should not deposit or lock funds based on this archived walkthrough.

Time needed: 15 minutes

Here is the original guide to the Avalon Labs ($AVL) campaign.

  1. Connect to Avalon Labs

Participants connected a wallet to https://www.avalonfinance.xyz/. Note that participation was and remains restricted in certain jurisdictions.

  2. Complete quests

Participants went to the Point section, connected their social accounts and wallet, and engaged with the platform. The original campaign, for example, awarded 10 points for daily check-ins. Those historical points do not prove eligibility for a current airdrop.

  3. Provide liquidity

Participants could choose a network in the “Markets” section and supply an asset. Because Avalon was already on mainnet, these actions used real funds and exposed users to smart-contract, asset, liquidation and liquidity risks.

  4. Hold assets

Stage 2 required eligible whale users who missed Stage 1 to hold 15x their AVL airdrop amount in USDa during each of three 60-day epochs. The 180-day program began on March 15, 2025. Avalon periodically measured USDa in a user's wallet and USDaLend. For example, a 1,000 AVL allocation required at least 15,000 USDa; holding more than 15x did not increase the reward. This requirement is historical and is not a reason to acquire or hold USDa now.

AVL tokenomics

Avalon's official tokenomics sets AVL's maximum supply at 1 billion tokens. It allocates 20% to airdrops, with half of that allocation described as unlocked at the token generation event and the other half after six months. Other stated allocations include community incentives (28%), ecosystem and treasury (15%), investors (19%), team (10%), advisers (4%) and initial liquidity (4%). An allocation to “airdrops” does not mean an unclaimed balance is currently available to the public.

Risks of using Avalon and USDa

  • Smart-contract risk: audits can reduce some risks but cannot guarantee that contracts are bug-free.
  • Stablecoin and collateral risk: USDa can deviate from its intended value, while collateral prices and oracle failures can affect borrowing positions.
  • Liquidation risk: borrowers can lose collateral if a position falls below required thresholds.
  • Liquidity and yield risk: withdrawals, market liquidity and advertised yields can change.
  • CeDeFi and counterparty risk: products involving centralized parties introduce custody, operational and counterparty exposure in addition to on-chain risk.
  • Regulatory and access risk: eligibility varies by location, and the platform expressly excludes several jurisdictions.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Avalon Labs Stage 2 AVL airdrop still active?

No. The three-epoch, 180-day qualification program started on March 15, 2025 and has ended. The steps in this article are an archive.

Did the AVL token launch?

Yes. Avalon says AVL was listed in February 2025. Its official tokenomics gives the token a maximum supply of 1 billion.

Who was Stage 2 for?

Avalon's announcement said Stage 2 was specifically for eligible whale users who did not claim their airdrop in Stage 1. It was not a general points campaign open to every new user.

Do I need to hold 15x my AVL amount in USDa now?

Not for the historical Stage 2 program. That holding rule applied during its three 60-day epochs in 2025. We found no current first-party notice extending the requirement into 2026.

Is there a new Avalon Labs airdrop in 2026?

We did not find an open public AVL airdrop on Avalon's official site or documentation during our August 13, 2026 review. Treat unsolicited “AVL claim” links as potential phishing.

How much AVL was allocated to airdrops?

Official tokenomics allocates 20% of the 1 billion maximum supply to airdrops. That category covers Avalon's planned distribution; it is not evidence that 200 million AVL remains available to claim.

Can users in the United States, Mainland China, Hong Kong or Singapore participate?

Avalon's current website says its content and services do not target U.S. persons or residents or nationals of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other prohibited countries. Users should follow the current terms and applicable local law and must not circumvent access controls.

Is USDa risk-free?

No. USDa and products using it involve smart-contract, collateral, oracle, liquidity, depeg and possibly counterparty risks. A stablecoin label or an audit does not guarantee principal.
