The original 0G token airdrop is over. 0G announced its airdrop on 16 September 2025 and launched the 0G token with the Aristotle mainnet later that month. The official airdrop portal still displays links for registration and claiming, but both underlying pages now redirect to a notice saying the site is closed.

The February 2025 guide correctly identified 0G as a likely airdrop candidate, but its old faucet, Newton storage explorer and Discord-role steps are not a route to the completed distribution now. A wallet that missed the official registration or claim window should not use an unofficial “late claim” link.

Who was eligible for the 0G airdrop?

The official announcement described a retrospective distribution for several types of contributors rather than a reward for one generic testnet transaction. Named groups included:

• long-standing community members with specified Discord roles;
• participants in selected Galxe, Intract and social campaigns;
• eligible Kaito Yappers and members of the broader Kaito ecosystem; and
• holders of the 1,888-item One Gravity NFT collection.

0G said it used automated and manual anti-sybil checks to remove bots and farming accounts. The announcement also said more details about recognition for testnet participants would follow. However, merely receiving faucet A0GI, sending it to yourself or uploading an arbitrary file never guaranteed an allocation.

Eligibility was account-specific and could require KYC. The official notice specifically warned users not to undertake KYC if they were ineligible. With the portals now closed, do not send identity documents to someone claiming they can reopen a past allocation.

Will there be another 0G airdrop?

0G reserved 13% of the total token supply for Community Rewards and said these rewards would support both past and future contributors over time. Its first airdrop announcement also referred to future mainnet incentives and possible ecosystem-project airdrops for One Gravity holders.

That leaves room for new, separately announced campaigns, but it is not confirmation of a second general 0G airdrop. Running transactions, buying an NFT, staking or using a dApp can involve real losses and should not be treated as guaranteed eligibility. Check 0g.ai/blog and the verified @0G_labs account for a campaign's exact dates and rules.

0G tokenomics and utility

The 0G token has a total supply of 1 billion. The published allocation divides that supply as follows:

At TGE, 21.32% of the total supply was scheduled to unlock, all from the broader community allocation. Team and backer tokens had a 12-month post-TGE lock followed by vesting through month 48. Those schedules matter because later unlocks can increase circulating supply.

0G is the native asset used to secure the proof-of-stake chain and power the network's storage, data and compute economy. Native 0G on Aristotle does not require an ERC-20 contract address. Wrapped or bridged versions do, so verify the destination chain and use the official bridge or documentation rather than copying an address from a social-media reply.

0G Aristotle mainnet details

Aristotle mainnet is the production network for 0G's decentralized AI stack. It combines an EVM-compatible Layer 1 with separate storage, data-availability and compute services intended for AI models, agents and data-intensive applications.

Do not confuse mainnet with the older Newton testnet, which used A0GI test tokens and chain ID 16600. Test tokens have no cash value and cannot be converted into native mainnet 0G merely because the tickers look similar.

What is 0G Labs?

0G Labs is a core contributor to the 0G decentralized AI operating system. The stack has four main parts: 0G Chain for EVM-compatible execution, 0G Storage for large data sets, 0G Data Availability for publishing and verifying data, and 0G Compute for AI inference and related workloads.

The often-repeated “$325 million raised” figure needs context. According to 0G's own November 2024 announcement, that headline combined a $35 million pre-seed, a $40 million seed round and a $250 million token-purchase and liquid-capital commitment. A commitment is not the same thing as cash received in an equity funding round.

Security checks for 0G tokens and rewards

1. Start at 0g.ai or the official documentation, not a promoted search result or direct message.
2. Remember that the original registration and claim applications are closed.
3. Confirm that a wallet is connected to chain ID 16661 before using Aristotle mainnet.
4. Do not assign value to A0GI or any other testnet balance.
5. Verify wrapped-token and bridge contracts against current official documentation for the selected chain.
6. Read KYC, jurisdiction, vesting and claim-deadline rules before joining any future campaign.
7. Never disclose a seed phrase, private key or remote-access credentials.
