What is Aztec Network?

Aztec Network is the first private ZK-rollup on the Ethereum network. It is essentially a privacy engine that DApps to gain access to privacy and scalability. The industry-standard PLONK proving mechanism secures its rollup, and leading zero-knowledge scaling projects such as zkSync utilize it.

Aztec Network is developed to deliver uncompromising privacy. Zac Williamson (CEO) and Joe Andrews (CPO), experts in building new blockchain paradigms, co-founded Aztec Network. They have a large team of cryptographers and engineers. Aztec raised $17 million in a Series A funding round led by Paradigm in 2021, and among the angel investors is Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum. In December 2022, Aztec successfully raised a whopping $100 million in a Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).

Does Aztec Network have a Token?

Aztec Network currently does not have a token. Venture capitals such as a16z and Paradigm are backing Aztec, so it is hoped that they will launch a token and airdrop it afterward.

Does Aztec Network have an airdrop?

Aztec Network does not have an airdrop yet. Previously, zk.money was the key to eligibility for a potential Aztec Network airdrop. This is because zk.money is Aztec’s first product, which is a private DeFi yield aggregator for Ethereum. zk.money however is being sunsetted. Deposits have been disabled since 21st March 2023. And any users who have funds on zk.money are recommended to withdraw before 21st March 2024.
